  Adhibas Tattva: Tattvas are the gifts. These gift are sent by the groom's family. The gifts include saree for the groom’s mother, curd, fish, sweets, dhaan (grains) and durba (grass strands) which are placed on a brass plate and carried by servants to the groom’s home. Snan: The snan literally means bathing. It is the bathing ritual that is followed in turn by the bride and the groom. It takes place in late afternoon on the wedding day. During the snan ceremony, a couple of married women apply the paste of turmeric and oil on the bride/groom’s hair and body. Thereafter, the bride/groom is given a new set of clothes that is gifted by his/her in-laws. The old worn clothes of the bride/groom are given away to the barber. Durga puja: An annual Hindu festival worships Goddess Durga

Durga puja is an annual Hindu festival that celebrates worship of the Hindu goddess Maa Durga. This is also known as Dussehra and Navaratri in other parts of India.In some parts of India it is also referred as Durgotsava. This festival marks the victory of Goddess Durga over the evil buffalo demon Mahishasura.It also signifies the victory of Good over Evil. It lasts for six days.Durga Puja is the biggest festival in Bengal.Durga Puja also includes the worship of Shiva,Lakshmi, Saraswati with Ganesha,Kartikeya and mother nature. Hundreds of pandals are set up during Durga puja. These pandals contain highly decorated and fabricated idols of Durga. The creation of these idols begins months ago. Hugh number of people are involved in the creation of these idols. A huge number of people visit these pandals in the evening.The idols are opened for the visitirs for four days. Once upon a time there was a demon called Taraka. He always tried to hurt the Gods by his evil actions but he failed. He was very unhappy. He decided to perform a long and difficult tapasya. This pleased Lord Brahma. He gave him the boon that only a son of Lord Shiva could kill him. This made Taraka more proud. Taraka assumed Shiva would never marry again, and rampaged across the Earth. He started thinking that nobody in the heaven or earth can kill him. He started killing the Gods. He also destroyed the properties in heaven and earth. Gods went to Lord Brahma to ask for help but Lord Brahma said that only a son of Lord Shiva would be able to kill a demon named Tarak. Karva Chauth: Fast for longevity of husband's long life

Karva Chauth is a one day festival celebrated by Hindus and Sikh ladies. Karva is another word for diya and chauth means fourth in Hindi. The ignition of diya is the symbol of life and fourth corresponds to the day of observance. It is the fourth day of krishna paksh, of the month of Kartik. This is very popular in north India. On the day of Karva Chauth married women fast from sunrise to moonrise for the safety and longevity of their husbands. It's one of the obligations of the Hindu festival of Karwa Chauth. It is also observed that married ladies also fast for their fiancés or desired husbands. The festival also coincides with the wheat-sowing time. All Saints' Day It is observed to honour of all the saints, known and unknown. It is celebrated on November 1. As the name suggests it is celebrated by the Christian community. The second purpose behind its celebration is to commemorate all those who have transformed into an angel after their death in heaven. It is celebrated a day after Halloween. People gather in local cemeteries and decorated the graves with flowers. People also light candles on top of visiting graves of deceased relatives.
